ABOUT ME

Antonio Fernández Marchán, born in Jerez de la Frontera on August 27th 1970, has a Law Degree, is Superior Sports Technician by the Andalusian Football Federation and National Football Coach UEFA PRO.

He has studied the Master’s Degree in Sports Management through the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Camilo José Cela University, the Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology through the UNED, and is a Senior Technician in Sports Psychology and Sports Coaching. For five years, he has been Professor of Sports Management Master in the Royal Spanish Football Federation and, for six years, Professor of the Andalusian School of Football Coaches. He currently participates in the LaLiga Business School (LFP) master’s program and is a speaker at various international conferences and seminars. 

During his professional career it is outstanding his stage at Sevilla Fútbol Club, where he worked from 2000 to 2006, starting as an assistant to the sports director, continuing as Head of International Football until 2003, and finally serving as Technical Secretary for the last three seasons. 

After a campaign in Xerez Club Deportivo as Sports Director, Fernandez signed with Valencia Club de Fútbol as Technical Secretary in the 2007/08 season. 

´La Roja` after winning the Euro 2008, he joined the Royal Spanish Football Federation as an informer and analyst of the National Team, with which he won the World Cup in South Africa 2010. At the end of that same year, he signed as Sports Director of Malaga FC where, after a year and a half, he managed to make a team that ended up in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, a historical landmark in the city of the ´Costa del Sol`. 

Another important achievement is the foundation of WEA Company in 2014, which includes several projects related to football and which are added to a voluntary project called “Much more than football”; born in 2009. 

He signs with LaLiga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP) in 2016 and goes to South East Asia, specifically to Indonesia. Later joining the Sports Direction of Cádiz CF where he stays until 2021.

In 2021 he closes an agreement to come back to Sevilla FC, after 15 years, as Youth International Recruitment Director where he remains nowadays.
